Requirements
- Valid national seasonal work visa (Type D) obtained before entering Greece
- Signed employment contract specifying type of work, location, duration, working hours, wages (at least the unskilled worker minimum rate), and conditions
- Employer's solemn declaration providing or confirming suitable accommodation
- Proof of full sickness insurance covering all risks
- Employer's solemn declaration guaranteeing return-travel costs
- Employer's crop or livestock declaration

Employer registers quota position
The Greek agricultural employer pre-registers the seasonal position within the annual quota set by Cabinet Act. Country-specific and sector allocations apply.

Obtain seasonal work visa (Type D)
The third-country national obtains a national seasonal work visa from the competent Greek consulate in their country of residence before travelling to Greece.

Enter Greece and submit online application
After entry, the worker submits the E-6 permit application online via the Ministry of Migration and Asylum portal, uploading all required documents before the national visa expires.

Document verification
The competent Immigration Authority reviews submitted documents (approximately 7–10 days).

Biometric data collection
The applicant attends an appointment for biometric data collection and examination (approximately 50–60 days processing).

Permit issued
The residence permit is issued and the worker may begin or continue agricultural employment, valid for the duration of the employment contract up to the 9-month maximum per rolling year.
