Highly qualified third-country nationals with a degree or equivalent professional experience and a qualifying salary can obtain an EU Blue Card to live and work in Romania, with mobility across EU member states.

Requirements

- Salary at least the national average gross salary threshold (verify current RON figure with IGI/INS)
- Employer requests highly-qualified work authorisation via WorkinRomania.gov.ro
- Obtain long-stay employment visa within 60 days, then apply for the Blue Card at territorial IGI
