Family Reunification Temporary Residence Permit
Spouses of Ukrainian citizens and family members of TRP/PRP holders can obtain a TRP valid 1 year (renewable), adding legalized + translated marriage/birth certificates.

- TRP: 15 working days from submission.
- Validity
- TRP valid 1 year; renewable.
- Language requirement
- None for the TRP.
- Permanent residence
- Family members of citizens can also qualify for the Immigration Permit (outside-quota categories).

- Reduced 2-year residence requirement for naturalization if married to a Ukrainian citizen.

Process Steps

Obtain ground document
Obtain and legalize/translate the marriage or birth certificate proving the family relationship.

Obtain Type D visa
Apply at a consulate using the family relationship as the ground document.

Apply for TRP at DMSU
Submit the TRP application with the family documents; pay ~UAH 1,140; provide biometrics.

Collect TRP (1 year)
Collect the biometric TRP card within 15 working days; renew before expiry.
