Work Permit + Temporary Residence Permit (Employment)
An employer obtains a Work Permit tied to one employer/role from the State Employment Service, after which the foreigner gets a Type D visa and a TRP for the contract term.

- TRP valid for the term of the work permit/contract; renewable.

Register at https://visa.mfa.gov.ua, attend consular appointment, submit work-permit copy + supporting documents, collect the 90-day Type D visa.

Enter Ukraine and prepare TRP documents
Buy Ukrainian medical insurance and get a notarized Ukrainian translation of the passport.

Apply for TRP at DMSU
Submit application + documents at territorial DMSU/TsNAP, pay ~UAH 1,140, provide biometrics.

Collect the biometric TRP card within 15 working days; valid for the contract/work-permit term.

Foreigners contracted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine receive a TRP for the contract term plus 6 months (wartime measure), and may naturalize after just 1 year of service under martial law.
