Luxembourg
Luxembourg is an EU and Schengen founding member. Immigration is administered by the General Department of Immigration (Ministry of Home Affairs) for residence permits and the Ministry of Justice for nationality. EU/EEA/Swiss citizens register only; third-country nationals follow a two-step process (temporary authorisation to stay obtained before entry, then a residence permit after arrival). The standard residence permit fee is EUR 80, paid to IBAN LU46 1111 2582 2814 0000 (BIC CCPLLULL). Most permits lead to EU long-term resident status after 5 years and to naturalisation after 5 years' legal residence.
